I don’t need to know the history of the TCP/IP invented by AT&T or how DNS work. I just need to know how to configure the DNS in a Windows NT 4.0 step by step. I don’t have too many time to waste reading the history of the TCP/IP, I am looking for a professional book that help me to just do what I need in the minimum time and this is what I call a good book. Do you know any good book about NT DNS that you can recommend me?

This books opens up the mystrey behind DNS and WINS , and how they interact in an NT environment. It goes through a step by step process of explaining the concepts of DNS and WINS. The detail explanation on the Database resource records was excellent.
Overall, and excellent book to have for understanding and reference for how DNS and WINS work.

I feel this book was too vague, no coverage of any basic knowledge for setting up a Windows Nt DNS server I would recommend skipping over this book if you need real information for setting up a DNS server
