where do I find the smtp email server and POP3 email name, and domain name, for a new software I’ve installed?

The SMTP and POP3 server names depend on who you get your e-mail service from. BTW: if you use Yahoo! for e-mail, you can’t use SMTP/POP3 unless you pay extra for Yahoo! Mail Plus service.
If you list your ISP’s name, someone here (maybe me) can tell you exactly. Knowing what software you are using could also help. If you would rather not say, try your ISP’s website (it might be in the FAQ’s).
