Sunday, May 2nd, 2010Information For Domain Name Appraisal
Saturday, May 1st, 2010There is basically nothing out there in the real world that is equal. Everything has its own distinctions, thus nothing is equal. This is also true with domain names. Not all domain names are designed equal as it is commonly noted. One of the main reasons that show this fact about the domain names is the truth that some of the choices for words in the English language have already been broken up as domains, thus some of the particular domain names worth higher to buyers than the others.
With such fact about the value of the domain names, one of the major processes that exist in the world comes to tackle this matter and that is the domain name appraisal. The domain name appraisal emerged out of the situation of buying and selling domain names. So what exactly is the domain name appraisal?
The domain name appraisal is the manner of weighing up a domain name and recognizing the worth of a certain domain name. This is somewhat like a real estate appraisal and other forms of appraisals. However, unlike the currencies in which a set worth can be recognized; in the domain name worth has no way to be standardized. So with such fact, it is important to know that the domain name appraisal just remains as an opinion. Many domain name experts have noted that due to such condition of the domain name appraisal, there is no way that the domain name’s worth can be conclusively proved.
Even though the domain name appraisal remains as a mere opinion, the domain name appraisal can still be very helpful. They not only give the domain name owners with an opinion but the domain name appraisal also gives certain signals to the owners of what they must charge when they decide to sell a domain name. As such, the domain name appraisal is then believed to add at least a tidbit justification to the domain name price.
In a domain name appraisal, a number of factors are mostly considered. These factors include the domain name’s length, keyword recognition, vividness and range of potential uses. It is also considered that most of the domain name appraisals today charge a certain domain name between 10 to 30 dollars, but with official discounts for bulk domain name appraisals. And to better serve the domain name consumers and holders, certain companies that conduct such service provide some software that will greatly appraise the domain names for the customers.
But still outside from such functions, the domain name appraisals are only means of determining the worth of a domain name. And if the domain name is appraised at a high value, it doesn’t mean that such domain name will sell quickly, it just holds that you picked a better name.
How Does Web Hosting Work ? Information On The Definition Of Web Hosting
Saturday, May 1st, 2010A web host is a company which in effect provides a home for websites. The hosting service involves the provision of computer storage space where the web pages are all saved, and allowing for the transfer of data as these pages are viewed by users of the internet. No website can be viewed online unless it is hosted somewhere, though the geographical location of the web host makes very little difference.
So the main thing a web host provides is powerful computers on which different websites are stored. Most hosting involves storing several websites on each computer, known as shared hosting, but there is an option called dedicated hosting which means you get a separate computer where only your website is stored. This is a lot more expensive and is usually only required by larger and very busy websites.
It costs the web host money to provide the equipment and support required to host websites, so naturally they charge for their services. While there are such things as free hosting, this never amounts to the same thing as proper web hosting. Free hosting usually means the provision of very limited and restricted web pages on a shared domain, so you are just getting a few pages on a much larger site. This is very different to having your own domain name and total freedom with regard to how you structure and develop your website.
The two main measurable things that a web host will provide you with are storage space for your pages within the computer memory, known as disc space, and what is called bandwidth, which is really a measure of the transfer of data which takes place when people view your pages or download files. These two things are clearly measurable and when you arrange a web hosting package, you will be signing up to a certain quantity of these two things.
The limit you agree for disc space will determine how large your website can be and the type and number of files you can store. Each of your pages takes up memory, and things like image, video or music files take up a lot more memory than just pages of text. The limit on bandwidth must relate to how busy your website is going to be, in terms of visitors. When you hear about websites crashing, this is often a result of a sudden increase in visitors which pushes the site over its allowed bandwidth limit. It is unfortunately not unusual for some web hosts to automatically take your site offline as soon as you reach your bandwidth limit, without even informing you. This is one of the reasons you need to take great care when selecting a web host for your website.
The other thing that will affect bandwidth is the type of website you have and the sort of files on it. For example, if your site is for gaming or streaming videos, you are going to need a far higher bandwidth limit than a text based information site would require.
While these two main technical factors of disc space and bandwidth are certainly things you need to consider when choosing a web host, by far the most important considerations are how reliable the host is in terms of keeping your website online, and how quickly and efficiently their support staff respond when you have problems or queries. The only way to be sure about how any host performs in this respect is to check reviews by existing customers.
Using Public Domain Information To Create Products To Sell On The Internet
Tuesday, April 6th, 2010
Copyright (c) 2009 Pete Moore
I was recently asked about the products we have that were created using Public Domain Material and if we just stuck to ebooks.
Public Domain information for many product developers means books; however it can also be paintings, songs, radio shows, films and more!
That said, it is the area of books in the Public Domain that gives us the most opportunity as it is estimated that over 85% of books in the USA (up to 1963) are available in the Public Domain.
Products You Can Create.
Your book has arrived and you’ve had it scanned into word format for easy editing now what do you create?
Let’s take a look at some actual examples of products we have created using Public Domain Material.
Ebooks
These are the easiest and simplest product to create from Public Domain material and we now have dozens of these up and selling on the Internet. PLUS, I guarantee we spend less than 10 minutes per book each month on them.
They are the epitome of the automatic business.
A coupe of points I will raise is that to really stand out from the crowd with Public Domain books you really should go through the book and edit it for easy reading.
I have sold Public Domain books without changing the way it returned from the scanning firm, however, by taking the time to edit it you can add in your own information and make it more appealing to your readers.
Make sure you add in your own forward and / or introduction AND add in a resource section which should contain your affiliate links to other resources.
Audio Products
Believe me, there has been a quiet revolution taking place with audio books and Public Domain information is perfect for taking advantage of this.
A recent study undertaken in New York where by researchers stopped people listening to MP3 players and asked them what they were listening to found that OVER 50% were listening to audio books and podcasts…not music.
What’s to stop you tuning an audio book into an MP3?
How about some of the classics that are readily available on Guttenberg?
Or simply take a collection books and tuning them into an audio or CD set?
Audio offers a huge opportunity with Public Domain books.
Video Products
This requires some out of the box thinking but once you grasp the concept the opportunities really are endless.
As an example we have taken a Public Domain book on the topic of Martial Arts and turned it into a DVD called ‘Self Defence For The Streets’.
We simply went to a local Martial Arts Club and asked them would they be interested in staring in own new DVD production. I was quite prepared to pay a one off fee, however, they simply wanted a dozen copies of the DVD for their members!
We took the moves from the book and asked them to perform them in slow motion and at full speed. The explanation of each move and where it could be used was added later back in the office.
Don’t limit yourself to DVDs on sport, how about cooking, gardening, flower arranging, painting, animal training, fishing, golf and many, many more.
So there you have it, three ideas of how you can use Public Domain information to create your own hot selling, high profit information.

2. IT and education in India
Considering the rate at which population is increasing in India we need to develop cost effective and efficient solution to educate the Indian masses. The challenges to Indian educational domain are:
Educational system imparts only theoretical knowledge
Current system generating hierarchical society
Remote teaching facilities
Limited access to technology
No common school system
What is the solution for overcoming these challenges? One efficient method is e-learning. E-learning is a facility using which students can study the courses from virtual classrooms. Wherever you are located the e-learning facility is accessible with ease. This facility can be used to impart uniform education to all students. Once this facility is enabled through proper channels and aid from government students from even remote locality could benefit abundantly. IT should be used efficiently to enable this breakthrough teaching technology.
3. IT and rural development in India
What could be the role of IT in rural development in India?
There are two kinds of potential economic benefits by IT usage. They are static and dynamic efficiency benefits. The major advantage of the information goods is that the usage of one person does not deplete the availability for another. A major component for rural development is Communication, which is facilitated by electronic media, and information technology. IT has enabled democratic political design of India. Thus IT is a key factor influencing the pace and progress of rural development. Nowadays internet connectivity is enabled even in rural parts of the country. This provides the access for rural masses to learn, update and improvise.
4. IT and Indian communication Industry
The key aspects about Indian Telecommunications network are

Domain Name Information Is Integral Part Of Web Hosting
Sunday, April 4th, 2010
Businessmen looking for web recognition for promoting their products, services and overall business through web hosting require domain name for recognition of their website. On the Internet, domain name system is one of the most important directory services that translate to an IP address as well as a domain name. The domain name information gives the viewers the location to which they should navigate in order to visit the contents on the site that is hosted and promoted.
Importance of Domain Name Information
Computers do not recognize alphabets, letters and other characters excepting only numerical “1″ and “0″. However, human beings can hardly distinguish one site from other just basing on the IP or Internet Protocol address. For instance the difference between 208.48.193.36 and 208.48.195.38 though they refer to different sites on the web. Instead it is much easier for anyone recognizing the sites by their domain name like www.google.com or www.yahoo.com and such others. Moreover, both the web directories and search engines refer the site by their domain name information and not by the IP address. For web recognition therefore the domain name information is essential.
Identifying Reliable Web Host
Not only the client’s side but the web host is also mostly identified by his unique domain name. Reputed and reliable web hosting services are usually recognized by their domain names just like the major search engines and web directories. Clients search on the web for reliable web hosting sites searching through the domain names in the directories, feedbacks, expert opinion, and reviews. None of them refer to the numerical IP address. It is always the domain name.
Moving from Host to Host
Domain name information also allows the viewer to navigate the Internet with depth moving from host to host. It matters very little for anyone if Microsoft, or Sun, or IBM changes their IP address. So long as their domain name remains the same the web surfers will easily reach them on the Internet.
Domain Name System
Domain name system or DNS is basically a hierarchy of database that is distributed widely across the Internet. A set of application protocols are included that interacts with such database. While originally the intention of DNS was translating domain names into IP address and vice versa, the job has become much more complex in modern times. An important thing is to remember that DNS varies widely from the process and functions of search engines but both can help the viewer in locating the best web hosting in their own ways.
How much control do I have over Domain Registration Information from GoDaddy?
Sunday, April 4th, 2010I have a domain name with GoDaddy. I originally signed up for Private Registration via DomainsByProxy. My question is if I cancel the Private Registration, does the domain Registrant Information get automatically populated from my personal account information at GoDaddy? Or do I have the option to change all of the fields to different answers? I am fully aware that I must still provide true information for the contact fields.
Thanks!
