i like msn because of the themes and the short domain name and i like gmx because of the short domain name and availability of aliases… but ymail theres nothing special about the themes. can u guys tell me which you like better and why? thanks.

It’s no secret that worldwide the postal services are in trouble. Here in the United States the USPS runs larger deficits every year and provides fewer services. 2010 might be the year Saturday delivery disappears forever.
Why? You know why; we’re all using the internet to communicate with the people we used to write letters to; and if the internet doesn’t get us there fast enough, we get on our cell phones. With the best will in the world the postal services are unable to compete.
A physical home address used to be critical. For deliveries and friends visiting from out of town, it still is; but for communicating with those friends, an email address is more important now than your street name or apartment number. In some ways your email address is even more important than your phone number. How many of your friends can remember your phone number without a cheat sheet? Darn few, I would imagine.
Your name, however, is memorable. Humans remember names before they remember numbers. Which of course is the reason for domain names rather than the domain numbers they actually represent. John Doe is easy to remember. John Doe’s area code and phone number in Far Rockaway, New York? Probably not. But if we remember his email, we can probably come up with his telephone number soon enough.
For years our email needs have been admirably handled by big search providers like Google and Yahoo. But we have to face it, the memorable names are all gone. Our friend, John Doe, for example would probably have to sign in as John6897Doe at Google mail to get his own box. You can imagine what the John Smiths’ of the world are left with! We’re getting back to hard to remember numbers.
So what to do? Easy, get your own domain name. In your own name if possible. With a dot-com extension if you’re lucky (John Smith is out of luck with a dot-com but JohnSmith.WS was still available when last I checked and you must admit that John@JohnSmith.WS is easier to remember than John with a bunch of numbers after it!).
You don’t have to put a website up to take advantage of your domain name as your email address. All you need is the domain name. If you buy your name from the right registrar or reseller you won’t even have to pay extra for the email service. That means that for ten dollars or less a year you have your own personal web address that you can make as easy to remember as you wish.

it says “host “SMTP’ could not be found please verify that you have entered the server name correcly” where do i find the server name?
Not a web host, just domain registration and email services? At least 10 e-mails offered, not just one.

I bought a domain through YAHOO! Web Hosting and created a email though it; usually I logged on my normal email and on the left panel, I could choose to check my email for my yahoo email. Now, when i click to check to other email a blank screen shows up and the screen returns to the previous screen!
