Tips to Grab Expired Domains Through Back Ordering Process- Part II

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

The previous article attempted to provide you the most basic information on domain name dropping and its subsequent registration. Back ordering is an important process of acquiring a domain, and hundreds of expired domain traders are using this technique to purchase domain names of choice. Available reports suggest that there are more than 1000 different domain name registrars and most of them are actively engaged in back ordering processes that relate to domains that are expiring. The best thing suggested here is to use a Back Order service which allows you to access the domain names that are in the Pending Delete status. A number of name drop catchers exist in the market and some of the well-known ones are SnapNames.com, NameJet.com and Pool.com.

The process of back ordering is very simple. Just order for a domain name and wait for the firm to drop catch your name. If you are the lone person who ordered for a particular domain, then you will get your domain name against the payment of cost of service incurred during the process. If there are more than one back orders pending, you may need to participate in a 3-day auction process and the highest bidder will get the domain name.

Dropped domains form a large pool and most of the back order firms provide their services at a fixed service rate. If the domain name in question remains with a domain name registrar that has an active partnership with a domain auctioning service, you will also need to take care that you place your order as late as possible. Each one of these services will tell you the exact time and date at which you can place your order.

Here is a list of registrars who are in partnership with back order firms that host an auction process to dispose off domains:

GoDaddy.com: This registrar always chooses TDNAM.com for its needs and requirements. The usual procedure will happen with about 13 days left in the Redemption period. The usual process is a 7 days auction on the domain that has just expired. When you win your domain in the auction process, you can register it only after seven days, when the Redemption period comes to an end.

NetworkSolutions.com and eNom.com: These registrars have a business partnership with NameJet.com.

Register.com, Moniker.com and Dotster.com: These registrars are closely associated with SnapNames.com.

Tucows.com: This registrar has a partnership with NameBids.com which is actually s a domain reseller for Tucows.

Advantages of back ordering a domain name:

Quicker and faster buying process
Possibility of obtaining excellent domain names at affordable costs
Lightening quick registration process
Availability of commercially viable domain names.

Disadvantages of back ordering a domain name:
Possibilities of participating in a costly auctioning process
Chances of buying an expired domain ay very high and fancy prices.

Back ordering a domain will provide you an opportunity to seek and buy expired domains that are commercially viable and profit oriented.

Cheapest Call Back Service: Enjoy International Calling at Discounted Rates

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

The callback services help the users to make cheap international calls. It is one of the easy ways to contact with others, who are located across the world, and also provides incredible savings to the users. Callback is a method of making low cost international or long distance calls via third country, where the call charges are considerably lower. Usually, calls are routed over the United States, as charges are considerably lower there in comparison to other countries. A telephone connection and a reliable network connection is must for operating international calls from the callback services. The international callback or simply callback services can be used from any phone that can receive a call including VoIP phone, fixed lines or mobile phones.

There are three methods of routing or triggering the calls using cheap call back services namely traditional, SMS and web callback. In order to use the traditional or international call back services, users are offered a unique number, which is known as trigger number. By dialing a local trigger number or entering the authorization code, users can an access state-of-the-art digital switching system. Therefore, when the users want to make a call, they call on their assigned number from the registered phone number. On this number, the phone rings once and hangs up before it is answered. As a matter of fact, the computer recognizes by the registered number and in response, the users get a callback within a fraction of few seconds.

While, in the SMS callback service, the users initiate or trigger a call by sending SMS message from their mobile phone. As a matter of fact, the message contains users’ phone number as well as the number they wish to call. Therefore, after recognizing the SMS message, the users receive the call from the number they wished to call.

The third type of callback is referred to as Web Callback or Internet call back. In this, the users just have to initiate a callback using web call, as they just have to simply log into their account on a website and enter the phone number they are calling from and the number they want to call. Like traditional or SMS services, the computer recognizes the users and calls on their phone number and connects them with the phone number they wish to call.

The competition in this internet telephony domain is getting harder, which in turn has pushed down the rates for long distance as well as international calling. These feature-rich services are backed with cheaper call rates, quality of service (QoS), fair and accurate online billing as well as customer satisfaction. This cheapest callback service works well by initiating a call from areas where the cost of calling is reasonable.

Back Ordering Domain Names

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

When the owner of a dot com, dot net or dot org domain name fails to pay their annual renewal fees, the domain name goes through a gradual multiple step process. Initially the original domain name owner, who might simply have forgotten to pay the renewal fees (despite the fact that most domain registrars generally send multiple reminder emails of pending renewal fees), can reclaim their original domain name. Later however, the domain enters a status (”pending delete”) where it is being prepared to expire. Finally, the domain name expires and becomes available again for anybody to register – on a first come, first served basis.

When a good domain name expires, it can often be in great demand. This is not only because of the quality of many expiring domain names, but also the fact that a new owner may inherit incoming links (although of course not any web site content) when they obtain the domain name. In any case, the fact of the matter is that there can be race to be first to register domain names as they expire – and people who try to register an expiring domain name simply by manually waiting for it to expire, and manually registering it, are unlikely to be the winners in such races.

The best ways to improve your odds of winning such races are either to get software to help automatically register a desired expiring domain name for you, or to use a back ordering service (or services) to chase the domain for you.  If you really want to obtain a particular expiring domain name, it may even be worth trying the software approach and one or more back ordering services, all at the same time.

If you are not familiar with back ordering services, what they basically do is use their own software to try to help their customers win the race to register valued expired domain names. The best back ordering services also have multiple computers, fast networks, and so forth, that are also intended to improve the odds in the race.

Back Ordering Domains

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

As you probably know domain names are generally sold on a first come, first served basis. That is to say that the first person to think of registering a previously unregistered domain name, can register it and get that name for their own use. You probably also know that in order to maintain ownership of a domain name, renewal fees must be regularly paid to a domain register. However, you may not have previously considered what happens in the event that a domain owner fails to pay their annual domain renewal fees.

There are a number of reasons why  a domain owner may not pay their renewal fees – they may have simply forgot (although most domain registrars do their best to remind owners to renew), an individual domain owner may have died, a business owning a domain may have gone bankrupt, or it may simply be that the domain owner no longer has any need or interest in continuing to own the particular domain. In any cases, whatever the reason, the domain name goes through a multi-step process (initially the original owner can reclaim their domain) before becoming available again for anybody to register.  This is known as the domain expiry process.

Many people look out carefully for individual domains, or in the case of domainers, for lists of domains, which are about to expire. This is because when a domain expires, it offers a good way to acquire a premium name that would otherwise have been unavailable, and because many expiry domains have incoming links leading to them, which a new owner would be able to inherit (although of course the new owner does not inherit the previous content of any web sites on the domain).

If you want to obtain an expiring domain name there basically two ways to do it:

* The first option is to wait for the domain to expire, and then register it yourself. However, because the most valuable domains tend to be in great demand, you are unlikely to be the only competitor in a race to obtain the domain, and can easily be beaten to the punch by others. It is however possible to get software that runs on your computer, and tries to register the domain name for you automatically – and such software may improve your chances.

* The second option is to use back ordering service. What these services basically do the same job as you watching and registering yourself, but they often have automated software and greater computer resources which can increase your odds of obtaining a desired expiring domain name. Not even the best back ordering service can of course guarantee that you will win a race that many include many competitors, but the best back ordering services will at least give you the best chance possible.
