alright this is a pretty noob question… im probably just making the answer much more complicated than it really is.
say i go with hostgators baby plan: unlimited domains/disk space/bandwidth
now does this mean that i can pick up some cheap .com’s or .info’s from whoever, change the nameservers, and voila – upload some html pages or whatever and im good to go!? or am i missing something here?!??!
ive heard that hostgator hosting is the way to go or should i look into something else?!
p.s. i don’t care about mysql or any special jazz – im just looking to host some static pages.

Yeah, Hostgator is one of the best. It’s not the cheapest but it’s worth the price.
As for your question about unlimited domains, hostgator’s baby plan allows it and it works exactly like you said. You can register additional domains anywhere you like and just change the nameservers to Hostgator’s.
